FINALLY, good god that page took soooo freakin' long to color. There are still some things that bother me about it. Ah well! I'll just have to do better next time.

I did work on the page, in fact I stayed up late working on it, determined to finish it. My body, however, had different ideas. I can't remember exactly when I fell asleep, but this is the first time I've been tired enough to fall asleep at and on the keyboard. When I woke up I had crashed my computer by having a large number of keys pressed down with my face. I'd expect something like this to cause hideous beeping, but I'd turned down the volume on my Mac so I must not have heard it. Luckily I did save very often, not so luckily I didn't wake up early enough to finish this page today like I'd said I would. I've uploaded what I did get done (hit 'Refresh/Reload' if you don't see a color page up above). I did have thumbnails done for the next couple of pages, I'll upload the one for the next page tonight when I get home. I'll continue working on the color of this page and hope that I'll have it and at the very least, the pencils for the next page done by next Monday. I did plan on doing a new page each week, but this quarter's schedule is making it very hard. If you want to see the old inks I've saved that image here . If you haven't seen it, go see how much the inks change in the color phase. Oh! I almost forgot to mention, the color that I have laid in may still change. Typically I lay in the flats then do that cartoony shading. But once I've laid out all the flats I may change some colors to improve the image (at least in my eyes).

So here's my weekend (so you can see how I spend my time), Saturday I passed a test for the Technician class license as a ham radio operator (yay). After that, one of our classmates took us out to breakfast (Thanks, Raj). We then went to Ham Radio Outlet where we ran into our teacher for Electronic Communications (The dread lord [last name of instructor removed by request on 3.19.2003]).

After that on to Borders to buy myself an Electronics Dictionary I can't afford. By the time I got home I was pretty tired so I took a nap. When I woke up I still had homework to do, so I worked on that till about midnight. Then I worked on the page for a couple of hours fixing this and that (funny how time passes when you're using Photoshop). Sunday I had to meet with my group. We spent four hours staring at our circuit wondering if we were doing it right, with about two or three hours of actual productivity. By the time I got home it was 9 pm and I'd forgotten to study for the test this Monday, so I did that. After that I started working on the page and like the lazy bastard I am, I fell asleep. Sigh, forgot about midterms this week too. Now if you'll excuse me I gotta get to work.

My busy weekend seems to have carried into the week. As such I haven't really had time to work on the page as I'd hoped. So here's the new plan, I'll have it colored by next Monday. I'll also upload some part of the next page on Monday. Depending on the amount of time I have this weekend, it may only be a thumbnail or it may be pencils, inks or very unlikely a fully colored page, only time will tell. Sorry again...yeah I do say that a lot.

Busy, busy, busy. I haven't finished coloring the page, but I decided to upload the inked version anyway. I've still got some schoolwork to do. I'm planning on coloring this page during the course of the week. So come back and see how I use photoshop to save my ass. Hopefully I'll have finished coloring it by Wednesday. I'll write up more stuff then. And I hate to say this, but it looks like there may not be a page next week. SIGH. Saturday I have to go to a test, and in addition our group has to work out how we're going to build our final project (walkie-talkies at this point), draw up schematics, block diagrams, and such and still stay on top of things such as our second project which is due the week after this one. Next weekend is likely to be really busy. On the plus side, these delays can only go on for another 8 weeks. After which I won't have any legitimate excuses.

Looking at the scanned page, I have to say...I have no idea how I miss such important details. What the heck is the bounty hunter standing on? I have the ground in the pencils, but not in the ink. Ah! well. I also noticed that the leg position is quite awkward, but I didn't notice it at all until I saw it scanned in, that's gonna be trickier to fix. As far as the boots getting cut off...that'll be fixed...I just didn't have time to scan in the extra half inch that my scanner didn't cover (it only scans 9x11.5 for some reason). Considering the fixes needed, I hope I can finish this by Wednesday. By the way that isn't a ghost rider ripoff...in my future, punks have moved away from piercing and into making parts of their skin, blood, and muscles transparent to reveal their bones. Hopefully it'll be more clear when I color it. And lastly, in the future I'm going to stay away from this kind of layout since it doesn't work too well when you have to scroll to see the whole image.

There's more I'd like to say, but it'll have to wait until next time. I really need to get some sleep (deja vu).
